Earlier Israel said the Hezbollah missile - which was intercepted - had reached the country's biggest city for the first time.

Israel killed at least 569 people, including 50 children and 94 women, in air strikes it conducted across Lebanon since September 23. At least 1,835 Lebanese people were wounded in the attacks, the country’s Ministry of Public Health said. In response, Hezbollah launched a volley of missiles targeting Israeli airbases.

The Lebanese health minister stated in a press briefing that the death toll had quickly increased to more than 270, including 21 children and 31 women. In all, 1,024 people were hurt. Israel's military claims it struck more than 300 Hezbollah targets.
