A five-year-old girl whose body was found in a water tank at a multi-story residential colony in Bhopal on Thursday, was allegedly raped and killed, an official said. He said that the preliminary investigation indicated that the victim was raped and murdered.

The minor girl was missing from her house situated in the Shahjahanabad locality, Bhopal on Tuesday afternoon. The child's parents were not at home when she disappeared. She was with her grandmother and told her that she was going to retrieve a book from a friend's house but did not return.

Three individuals have been arrested in Bhopal for the abduction, rape, and murder of a five-year-old girl. The child's body was found in a water tank at a neighbor's house. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established to ensure strict action against the accused.
