On the face of it, Joe Biden’s effective ban on Chinese technology in new vehicles appeared to be a devastating blow to Beijing’s burgeoning electric car industry.

President Joe Biden’s administration on Monday said it would propose banning the sale of imported Chinese-made software and so-called “smart cars” in the U.S. over safety concerns.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky got to work in the United States on Monday on lobbying the current and potential future leadership to sign up to his vision of how his country can win its war with Russia.
